During a recent condition survey on a Jeanneau yacht from the mid 1980's the hull and rudder were inspected as normal.  The rudder was found to be of a wooden construction which is normal for vessels made during this period from the Jeanneau yard.  The rudder was found to be cracked in way of the rudder stock, which apart from the obvious loss of structural integrity, this breach will have allowed water to ingress.

Hamble Marine Surveys have been chosen to survey a Bordeaux 60. Being one of the first UK marine surveyors to ever survey this unique semi custom built 60ft cruiser/racer, Julian Smith undertook this complex survey with the vessel at the CNB factory in France.

Julian Smith of Hamble Marine Surveys has just returned from Porto Turistico Di Roma after being commissioned to survey an Oyster 655 being sold by Nicolle Associates. The vessel was surveyed and sea trialed off Rome before being lifted ashore for a detailed hull survey. Located just 30 minutes away from Rome's main airport the marina is a new development with excellent facilities and good access up and down the coast of Italy.
